Default 2018 Street Glide issues?

A buddy of mine recently bought a new 2018 street glide and ran into problems shortly after leaving the dealer. He says the brakes seemed to suddenly grab and pulled the bike off the road. He suffered numerous injuries and the bike had several thousand dollars in damages. We are wondering if there are any other reports of similar accidents with this year and model?

I just bought a 2018 SGS and did a bunch of research before pulling the trigger. What you state isn't something I came across in any of my searches across multiple forums... Could have been something done or not done correctly at the dealer... Sorry to hear about your friend...

Sorry about your friend.

Only break failures were aware of is the older bikes from neglect of not changing fluid and maintenance of the ABS system.

Braking system on new bikes is one thing I do like about the new bikes it seems more refined than my 14 SG

So, the way I'm reading this is your buddy bought the bike and after leaving the dealer the brakes pulled the bike off the road?

yeah, i'm gonna throw the bs flag here. with only a single wheel per axle, your bike's brakes cannot grab and pull you off the road. something else is going on here, and we aren't getting the whole story.
