Well dropped my street glide over yesterday in my shed.....
I was working on plugging my tire due to having a screw in it and had to move the bike back slightly to get to the valve stem to add air. I thought the kickstand was still down but it must have came up when I moved the bike and the bike fell over onto the primary side. I was able to slow the bike down but it did scratch the bottom of my primary cover and the bottom of my saddlebags. My engine guard had a little scuff but it pretty much buffed out. I really cant see any of the damage unless I get down on the floor from like two feet away. I did order a used chrome primary cover on ebay for 83 bucks though. Its pretty much new with no scratches lol I guess it was bound to happen sometime. I was just aggravated about my new tire being ruined and made matters a little worse by dropping bike due to not paying attention.

Jiffy stand
The jiffy stand on these is great, when the bike is leaning on it, it cannot come up, but as you have discovered if you raise the bike it will move back and collapse when weight is applied.
Anytime I am moving the bike, even if only a few inches, I put the stand up, move and put it back down.
Sorry about you getting those scratches on your new bike, sucks, but it happens to all of us eventually.
