Default Andrews cams 48’s or 57’s

What’s good everyone? Lookin for some feedback...I have an 09 Road King with a 96”, I’m having big bore 103” kit installed along with a set of Andrews cams! I’m not sure what cams to use 48’s or 57’s. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you are stuck on Andrews, 57s would be my choice for a 103. Especially if ya bump the compression up to 10-10.2.

If you are doing a big bore kit you have the opportunity to get the heads worked and set the compression for the cam you choose. Considering that I would go with the 57.

Did you do anything with the heads or leave them stock?

Are you installing a set of take off cylinders and pistons and nothing more?

Mine was done by a guy who was considerd the best tuner in the area at the time. Stock heads, Rinehart duals, TTI, ac, but I don't recall everything he did other than when I saw the Dyno printout, I was impressed and the thing ran great. Sorry I don't have better technical information.

If you are limiting yourself to these two choices in a 103" and leaving the compression around 9.8.... the 48 all day. But, since you can easily swap in a HG .030 I would maybe do 57. Like another person said, the 57 will like 10.1 or a bit more.
