Carry a spare gas cap with you just in case and you won't need to worry about losing one.
Unless of course you put gas more than once in which case I find that a second spare gas cap can easily fit into your rectum. This will also double your motorcycles range and save you precious saddle bag space for storing more emergency blinker fluid.

I thought it was a great idea, until you folks come along and ruin it! LOL But seriously, I read a thread on here a while ago about someone losing their cap. Oh, and I have a 2nd chrome on in my spare parts bin THAT I FOUND ON A GAS PUMP THANK YOU VERY MUCH. However, since I switched to flush gas cap, it won't fit anymore. I almost had it slide off the seat and thought "where could I put this" and {lightbulb} I found the right spot. TaaaaDaaaaa

Real funny everyone, I left my gas cap atop the pump and road off (ultra classic), luckily it was still sitting where I left it after about an hour of riding and smelling gas till I pulled over and realized I left it behind.

Magnut1- Do you have any tips on how to remember to put the kickstand down when you park?

I still think keeping an extra gas cap lodged in your rectum is a smart move.

I lost my gas cap about 2 years ago. I just run without it. No problems because when I need fuel, I only add a gallon at a time.
