Default Unknown Oil Leak

2000 EG developed an oil leak and I cannot find where it is leaking from. Oil is all over the transmission pan and on the hoses/cables on the right hand side of the frame behind the floorboard. The engine and transmission oil levels are full.

Breathers or pushrod o-rings maybe?

See the year what model are you sumping back into your motor maybe it’s coming from your air filter and out. Did you check your primary how full is it thats were i would start.

I would go with the breather....a lot of bikes have less breathe blow by with running the bike 1/2 quart low......when you change the oil, put in only the 4 quarts( if that 's what your manual states) and don't add more for your filter.....my 99 ultra had no or very little blow by....my 09 does well being a little low.....each bike is different.....as always YMMV

Degrease your engine thoroughly, dry it off, ride it for 10 to 20 miles and find your leak.

Hot oil can travel far and wide, so once it has done that there is little chance of tracing where it started out from. CSMHOG has hit the nail on the head......

being a 2000, if the oil is all down low, check the clutch cable (o-rings can leak, so can the housing), and also the oil lines behind the small cover between engine and trans. If the wetness starts higher, then as the others suggested, check the breathers, cam cover, etc.

Something to check as well. I only say thing cuz I got hit by it. The stater cable that comes out to the regulator. It's a rubber gourmet and leaks. Once out it blows out under the bike. Good luck! I bought a new stator but was able to seal the leak. On 4 years now still have the stator in the garage. Figure it will fail some day.

Had this problem on my 03 RKC myself. Swapped out the clutch cable and been dry for a few years now.
