Question about leaving bike up on jack ?
Looks like I will be sending my defective Progressive shocks in for repair. I have a Sears red jack and while it has always worked fine I don't really feel good about leaving my bike in the air for a week or so. Am I just being paranoid or would I be better off to put the stock shocks back on and put the bike back on the ground. Thanks for your comments.

I have a way over priced Harley jack and leave mine up all winter with a trickle charger / tender. Easy way to make room in the Garage as well and is stable all winter with the locks down. I wish the release valve was better fused; hit the release and it drops alarmingly fast.
The Harley jack is no model of superior strength and design, I don't think it is better than the inexpensive ones and perhaps it is the same with an orange paint job.

My Limited spends most of it's garaged time on the jack. That includes about 5 or 6 months constantly for winter. As others have said, just lower it onto the locks to take the pressure off the hydraulics.
Another concern might be the jack itself collapsing, I'm not worried about that one.
