Well, the time finally came: I got a bagger. The Heritage wasn't bad, but the ride wasn't so great, nor was the freeway buzz. I had no intention to buy a bike, but then this came along. It's a 2009 with just over 10k miles on it. Stage 1 with D&D exhaust (that I like), and an overall plane Jane model. First order of business will be a different seat (going to try a Mustang Lowdown and the HD Reach) so I can reach the controls better, and a more appropriately sized windshield. That'll all come in spring though.
I think youll love it. Once you get used to the bigger bike thing, youll realize just how much better it handles than the softy too, even though its still a Harley hahaha. I drug every part of my Softail constantly, even ripped the end cap off my pro pipe at one point and had to pull over and go search for it.
The touring bikes have much better lean angle and take aggressive riding a bit better before you start trying to rip your floor boards off. I wouldnt trade my big ol geezer glide for anything.
Welcome to the club. You may want to look at an ultimate seat. I was really thinking hard about a mustang but the ultimate felt similar but seemed to have better materials.
