Default 14 or 16" ape hangers

Hi.

I want to change to maby 14 or 16" ape on my 2013 street glide. What does people think i should go 4? I am 6,4ft. Does it maby look to high over the batwing with 16"?
And maby put a picture of your bike in the comment so i can take a look to see how it looks like

I was told but I do not know if this matters, if you go over 14 you have a chance of moving the bars because of the longer length of the bars you have more leverage to pull the bars out of position , just something to think about. all my friends have longer bars and they do not have any problems, I have the 14's on my bike and i love them, actually all my bikes have had 14's I try to make my bars the height of my steering wheel in my car that seems to be for me the most comfortable, i am sure what ever you pick you will like it apes are very comfortable.

Here's mine with 16". I found that on long rides with the mustang day tripper, my hands would go numb after a while. I've since gone to a mustang solo that's closer to the stock height all if fine. The day tripper would have me sitting lower and my butt would slide back to where it would stretch me out and I'd be holding my self forward with the bars, probably squeezing the blood out of my hands.

I went with 14" Factory 47 Assault Bars on my bike. They sit just above the fairing so you can still use the stock mirrors if you want to look under your hand. I am 6' 0" and these bars are straight out from my shoulders. I absolutely love them.

I'll tell you the same thing I told a lady friend who is considering implants...."Go two sizes bigger than you think you want or you'll regret it".

If you are in the market for a seat. Get the seat before bars. I got 14" bars then got a seat. The seat raised me up some and now I wish I got 16" bars

I'm 5'7" and have 14s. I suspect 16 would be about right for you. In the end, you really need to sit on some bikes so you get it right the first time. Ask me how I know.
