Road Glide vs Street Glide
#31
So... I rode both prior to purchasing. As many have already said, same bike with different fairing setups. I felt the RG had a much lighter front end when slow maneuvering (I’m sure due to frame mounted fairing vs. fork mounted) vs the SG. I think one of the biggest factors between the two is rider size. The RG fairing seemed further away from me vs the SG batwing fairing ( I’m 5’10”). I rode both on the highway and did not feel a huge difference but would give the nod to the RG for slightly less grip required due to the frame mounted fairing. In the end, I went with the SG (2015 SGS) as I liked the closer fairing. Overall all, it was a tough choice as both are beautiful bikes and ride extremely well. Good luck with your choice.
BTW I don’t give a s*** what others ride or think of my ride. I ride what I like. Enjoy.

I have owned both and now back to a 18 sg. I owned a 16 rg ultra, awesome ride, like riding in a lazy boy. There was very little, almost no buffering and to me, handle a little nicer. I didnt care for the dash being as far a way as it was. I went back to the bat wing knowing i was giving up a little on the handling and the buffering would be back, but i like the dash in closer and love the look the street glide. Its all up to what u want.

I've put a bunch of miles on a batwing and half as much on a RG. I'll never go back to a batwing. And that's just my preference ymmv
