All you guys talking about Road Glides being everywhere, where are you? Out of a 45 bike ride, I was the only one, and the second youngest in the group at 39. Find my Goad Glide

Just to chime in... I never really wanted a Road Glide until the sales manager of the local HD kept talking about them and I finally test rode one. Last Friday I moved from a 2010 CVO Street Glide to a 2017 Road Glide Special. Love the new bike! As others have said, they both of great bikes and I loved my SG - never thought I would get rid of it but now riding a Shark

was a time (pre-2008) when you'd see over 150 bikes without seeing a Road Glide... these days in Raleigh, I can't go past a group without seeing at least one... 1 in 68 is better than here, but still makes sighting almost 3 times more likely that it used to be

Thats part of the reason I got my RG, you see SGs everywhere but not as many RGs. I don't like being like everyone else and wanted something a little bit different than the crowd. Plus I love they way the shark nose looks anyway and they are a much better ride in my opinion so it was a Win Win Win for me!

I see, it didn't used to be this way. Any idea what year the SG went to longer shocks?

Default 19 Street Glide

I think I have the lemon. I purchased a 19 SG and at 40 miles had a front end wobble at 42 mph. Warranty was a wheel rebalance and a neck adjustment. Still feel the shimmy. Today I pulled back into the garage after a short ride and I have a noticeable knock at the bottom of the front jug. I still have heartburn with wrenches on a brand new bike and now motor issues. Not a happy owner right now!

Street glide has had 12 inch shocks since 2006 when it became available
