Road Glide vs Street Glide
I am considering getting a new bike and looking at a Street Glide and Road Glide. Please provide opinions on which bike is better and why. Thank for the feedback. |
Ride them both opinions will vary here |
I have rode them both at the Harley’s open house but did not get much highway time with either of them. I like them both just hard to decide. |
One of 'em's darned ugly, the other one ain't..... :icon_duck:

This showed up on YouTube yesterday.

They are the same bike. You have to decide if you like a frame mounted fairing or a fork mounted fairing. I've ridden sport and sport touring bikes in the past quite a bit, so I am in the fixed (Frame mounted) fairing camp. Whether one is more or less visually appealing, that is also up to you.
I know when I went to the dealer to specifically try the Road Glides, just about every salesman was of the opinion that fixed fairings were weird. |

The Road Glide is better for me, but it might not be better for you. If a short demo ride didn't make the differences stand out, before you spend $20k+, I'd recommend renting one of each for a .day and ride a variety of roads, twisties and slab, to see which one is better for YOU. Of course, style is a matter of opinion, some hate the look of the Road Glide, some, like me, like it. |
There are multiple threads on the subject. Take a look around the forums; this subject has discussed ad nauseam.

I am on my 3rd Road Glide. But why ask other people what bike you should buy?
