Electric Windshield
#21
Having owned a BMW with electric adjustable shield I disagree it is a gimmic. Depending on weather, or how you feel about wind in the face that ride, making a quick easy adjustment is a great option. Have two shields for the RK. That and the no shield option is one reason I like the King.

Plus, the windshield isn't hidden in the fairing. It's on the outside of the fairing, and windshield rides up and down on rails. Just like on a Yamaha FJR 1300, and a Honda ST1300, and sny other bike that has an electric windshield. Easy, peasy!

Huh. Never noticed that before. I need to look the next time I am close to one.

I had a Honda ST1300 with an electric windshield and it was GREAT. One of the best accessories I ever had on a bike. I've always wondered why Harley has never engineered one for the Ultras.
Right now I have an organic adjustable windshield. While riding, if I tighten the muscles in my back causing me to sit up straight, the windshield automatically lowers. Amazing.
