road king front big wheel
Hi all. My electra glide/transformed to road king front end needs a dressing up. I want to put a big wheel on the front. Is a new fender necessary or brake rotors and calipers? Just looking to see what I'm getting into before I do so. I like the Fat 50 Big spoke look. 18" I think??
bike started off as 95 ultra and had front end changed to road king.

When you say big wheel, 18" was not what I thought you were referring to. Most folks, at least I would think, would suspect 26" and above. A front wheel of mine was damaged hitting a pothole and I wanted to get the fat 50 spoke. My stock size is 19" and for the life of me I couldn't find what I wanted so ended up buying a 21" that is finally going on today I hope, if there are no other issues. That all said, good luck finding an 18" fat spoke.
Oh yeah, pics of your bike are expected.

Yes I did and that is why I said I hope no other issues. But I may not have had to if I was still using a stock fender, which I am not. Long story but I now have 2 wrapper fenders for this bike. For you it may be one of those things you won't find out until you try.
I can see the transformation now and were it not for the Ultra seat still on the bike a person would be hard pressed to know it wasn't a stock Road King.

21 will fit stock fender.
A 21" fat spoke won't require a new fender. You'll want to check your fender guard bolt and nut setup as well as wiring location to make sure they won't hit the tire when hitting a bump. This especially important if you lower the front shocks. Lowering the front an inch or two puts everything back in line so the ride angle is off. Everything is an easy switch out as long as your new wheel comes with the appropriate size bearings installed. May want to swap out bearings for Timkens of you go with DNA or Ultima wheels.

Why did you build a 95 for your bike? Waste of time, it's a Harley, so completely underpowered my 4 door truck would still drag it like it was a boat anchor from a stop light to whatever mph you felt like no longer being embarrassed at
See how that works?
