S&S Header
I purchased a used 2008 Road King FLHR and it came with the V&H two into one. I am not a big fan of single exhaust on my Road King.
I want to put dual exhaust on it. They do not make an x pipe for the 2008 and down. The S&S power tune dual headers is the closest I can find. (2 into 1 into 2) I am undecided on mufflers, but am leaning towards Rinehart. Does or has anyone run this S&S header? Thoughts? (I know my bike will need to be re-tuned) Thanks |
I ran the cobra head pipe which is the same as the S&S. I really liked it excellent fit and finish and it performed very well.

I have the S&S power tune dual on my 2010 RG. The welds and quality of the pipe are good but the welds on the heat shield brackets are poor.

S&S Pipes
I also have a S&S header on my 2014 Street Glide it looks good and is well built. They have been around for such a long time
an the product line is top notch. There service is great and the parts end of the business is also top of the line. I have used there products for over 45 years. |
I ran the S&S tuned header on my ‘12 FLHTK and it performed very well. I had it on my stage 1 and then on my stage 5 with V&H Monster Round mufflers on it. |
I have 2 Road kings, 2002 and 2014. I put s&s header on the 02 years ago, no problems. The 14 came with a s&s header. It survived about 40,000 and broke. S&S was no help but said they are stainless steel now. The 02 came with Rineharts and I love them. I put Rineharts on the 14. I hope this helps. |
Run it on my 07, definite tq increase over the tru duals I had on it previously. Fit and finish is excellent. I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed in an s&s product. |

Had s&s pts ins5alled in Sturgis. Very happy with product, service and price. Installed 525. Incl. powervision tune and licence. rinehart, cobra, v&h all make similar products. Comes down to what you like appearance wise. I think performance is similar. rinehart slim line duals are a nice looking pipe. |
I've had mine on my 2013 ultra limited for 90,000 miles. No issues so far.
