2019 police Electra glidehey fellas had a question... just got a new 2019 police Electra glide and it came with a usb charger in the cubby next to the blank slot for the radio. It’s dead and was wondering how would I go about hooking it up to power? Thanks for the help.

Same thing I'm thinking. It has the wiring harness for a radio but without one that would power the USB.

Looks like the OP has it figured out. He's got another thread in the M-8 section that I didn't read before I posted here.

Your bike is new, so your dealer should sort out your USB for you IMHO, however if you had to pay to have it done it would likely cost you that much. So they are really free - or will be after you make use of them the first time!

OP, I am curious as I have not seen a police edition bike in the M8 flavor. Did you intend to get this bike or did the salesman not explain the differences to you regarding this particular feature, or lack thereof? I have to take my RG in for a warranty issue today so will look around. I am curious.

The OP has a 2019 FLHTP, Police Electra Glide. The Police Electra Glide does not have a Boom radio. It instead has a glove box in place of the radio. As there is no Boom radio, the is no place for the USB cable to plug into. The USB cable (Wire Harness, USB Jumper) is part of the Media Compartment Assembly. It's that compartment with the pop up door just to the right of the glovebox/radio on civilian models. Some are saying "have the dealer fix it" when that isn't possible UNLESS the dealer were to install the Boom radio. Right now that USB cable is just a wire that's not connected to anything and serves no purpose. If I'm missing something, please explain.
