Clutch slipped

I was riding last sunday started out in the 30s had not rode far went to pass car and motor revved up some the clutch was slipping could this be due to the bike still being cold.

It definitely could be from the cold, the plates were likely sticking together

If the plates were sticking together, the clutch would not have slipped....:icon_mrgreen:

OP: Tell us what model and year bike, stock clutch? Hydraulic or cable actuated?

Looking at his previous threads, it looks like he has a 2012 Ultra Limited.

Well the viscosity of oil is higher at lower temps.. It could be an issue.. Improper clutch adjustment might bring it out but IIRC hot usually lessens the free play.. Could also be caused by your frozen fingers not wanting to let go of the lever.. :D

2012 Ultra limited cable clutch.

Might just need a clutch adjustment.

But, depending upon mileage and how ya use it...the clutch might be due for replacement.

I went out to garage and checked clutch lever there was no slack will adjust when I change primary oil.

I think you've found your problem.
