Default 2014 and up saddle bags fitment with rails

Good afternoon guys,

I bought a set of 2015 saddlebags (OEM) for my 2k RKC. I want to buy a set of nostalgic bag guards but I know the new style bags are wider top and bottom than the 13 and down bags.

Have any of you installed new style bags on a 13 and down bike with nostalgic bag guards? Dos anyone know if they'll fit?

If you have, can you post pics?

Thanks

I've done it using the nostalgic guard rail kit for the old style hard bags. No real problems. I did add a spacer to move the guards rearward because they were a little too close to the rear of the new bags. They fit pretty well. But the new style bags are slightly rounded from front to back. Wider in front. The rail kit is straight. So the space between the bag and rail is not exactly even. It's not all that noticeable though. They work fine.

New style bag. Nostalgic rails. '09 RKC
