New Mods for the Road Glide Ultra
Today enjoyed a ride from Seattle to Yelm and back. A little cold, but perfect weather (sunny and clear skies).
My first longer ride with the new mods. Specifically:
- Chrome Turbine Wheels (19 front, 18 back). Michelin Scorcher tires
- Chrome Forks (upper and lower)
- New "chromish" Rotors
- Saddle Bag Lights
- Kahuna Heated Grips
(also got the recall fix)
Pics
And out in the wild on my ride today:
Loving the look and feel with Stage 1 and Street Cannons. The heated grips are amazing. Warm up in about 1 minute and they get plenty warm (and good size for my hand). Just need to chrome out the passenger footrest and change the heat guard to something and good to go (Stage 3 or 4 in a few years…).

Congrats, big fan of the chromed front forks and wheels...Like the grips too, Im in the market of replacing my grips since I installed my 10' Yaffee's.
How do you like the Kahuna's?
I have worn out HD get a grip and like that size diameter.......K's or Defiance are my next choice.?

The heated Kahuna's work very well. I hear it can be hit or miss with heated grips (take too long to warm up or don't warm up enough). On max power the Kahunas are almost too hot quite honestly. I dial to 6 (out of 8) and plenty warm.
I've 5'10 with average hand size and grip is perfect. Not too wide or thin.
