Curious what I can get for my 03 screaming eagle road king
I have a 2003 screaming eagle road king with 21k miles, the cam tensioner has already been changed . Only damage at all on the bike is a ding/scratch on the rear fender..it was 18" apes, Harley fish tails, 58'caddy tail lights, 21" frontnwheel bogh front and rear are fat spokes with wide white walls..approximately 500 miles on them and the wheels also matching rotors..rides perfect.I also have both the full size wind shield and the tinted screaming eagle shield and the removable backrest..thinking about selling it and was wondering your thoughts on worth

Here are some prices: 2003 Make:Harley-Davidson Model:FLHR/I Road King Model Type:Cruiser Displacement:1450 Cylinders:2 VIN:5HD1FBW13
Finance Advance:$4,390 MSRP:$16,815 (New) Avg Retail:$5,950 Auction Wholesale$4,730 Clean Trade:$4,475 Fair Trade:$3,595
You can probably add about 30% of what you paid for the accessories that you purchased, some may want them others will not depending on many factors. Without seeing the bike in person or hearing it run I would probably be in the neighborhood of $5,000 - to $5,500. Look out on Craigslist and see what similar bikes are going for. Good Luck with your sale

IMHO..... 10K would be a take the money and run price. If you can get that $11.5, grab it now!
Its January and used prices are soft. The fact it was over 30K new doesn't mean that much 15 years later. Now its just a used Harley. Almost every single part on that bike has since been upgraded or superseded by the new stuff that's out there. Its a small tire, 5 gallon tank, 5-Speed Road king with a one year only paint job. That's what a prospective buyer see's. I really do get it, but I think the high side on my '13 Anniversary Edition Road King, with the same miles, one year only paint, fat tire, 6-Speed tranny, added chrome and upgrades and a full ten years newer wouldn't be $13.5K this time of year. And I wish you the best, but you did ask for opinions, and mine is 10K would be a blessing.
Edit: And the post below thinks MY 10K is high!

Oops, my bad, here are the revised numbers: Year:2003 Make:Harley-Davidson Model:FLHRSEI Screamin' Egl Rd King
Model Type:Cruiser Displacement:1550 Cylinders:2 VIN:5HD1PGE13 Finance Advance:$5,385 MSRP:$27,995 (New) Avg Retail:$7,475
Auction Wholesale$6,065 Clean Trade:$5,660 Fair Trade:$4,455
Not my numbers, just the numbers dealers would use if you wanted to trade it in. Avg retail is what a dealer would put on the price, may be more like $8,500. Private sale is whatever you can get and what the purchaser will pay. KBB says Trade = $7,790 with Typical Listing Price of $10,265; So for a private sale somewhere around $9,000. Best Regards and Good Luck!
