I think to have it painted black to match a black bike is a waste of money....not that I dont like black bikes lol. It's one of those mods I would only do if I were taking it apart for another reason.

It holds up just as well as any of the other plastic painted parts on your bike. Quit procrastinating and do it.

Go to a dealer and look at the CVOs.They have color matched inner fairings. Then see if you like it. If it’s prepped and painted properly it should hold up as well as the outer fairing. My Ultra Limited has a gloss black painted inner fairing. I like it, and it’s holding up well.

I like them painted depending on color of bike but my 18 SGS looks good gloss black with all the rest of the blacked out parts.

Stupid.

If you have a bright color, the light reflecting will blind you or make
it hard to see when something at a critical moment.
Almost as bad as having a glare in your face from a piece of chrome.

(then there is ALL of that BLUE or RED or WHITE or ORANGE or whatever color)
