Have had it on all 3 of mine, wouldn't have one without it now. Paint holds up fine. I don't get the couple of glare comments, never an issue on any of mine.

If I get off my lazy *** this winter and change my bars, will be painting mine Luxury Blue to match the fairing, I don't think it will be an issue, but anyone with a dark blue inner fairing have any glare complaints over the standard black?

Ive had the 2018 RG Special and have the 2018 CVO RG, I liked both the painted to match and the gloss black against the white painted bike, never had an issue with glare on either. My opinion, do whatever you think you may like, in fact, it doesn't have to be the same color as the bike at all, think outside that box...

Me likely painted inner fairing.

Regarding a bright color blinding you.... Notta Problem for me.

I think it completes the bike, having a dull finish look unfinished.

I think that some look better than others when color matched. I've seen some that look great, and others...not so much. You could also go with a complementing color.
