What is the narrowest stock seat for Ultra turned Super Glide look?
Regardless of manufacturer, could you give mu suggestions for my 2006 Ultra (stripped of Tour Pak) seat? I need the narrowest operator dimension and definitely do not want to sit farther toward the rear; forward is okay, as is lower.
. The HD seat I now have is way too wide. This makes my short legs less able to flat-foot when stopped. Mean City Cycles modified my standard touring seat so well that I am almost flat-footed with it. However, MCC told me they cannot narrow my pictured seat because the leather can not be fitted well afterward.
While our bikes are 10-years apart, maybe try a glide seat. I picked a up a ‘15 seat to put on my ‘16 FLHTK and it is narrower and lower that my stock 2-up seat. Maybe something to consider. Used ones are cheap enough to try. There are tons of used after market seats too.
I found this on the Boise Craigslist. I did the "Search Nearby areas" that one for $75 is cheap enough to try. Offer $55. And that reach seat might be the one for you. Offer up $75. Good luck.
I run a road glide seat that i bought brand new from new castle Harley Davidson for about $225. I believe the part number is 52314-98. it is a lower narrower seat than a stock classic seat. I also have a stock street glide seat that will fit your year, but I imagine the shipping will be as much as I would charge for the seat. $50 for the seat plus shipping from Virginia.
