I have to agree with some other responses.... The light bar is held by 4 screws and can be lowered without even disconnecting the wire harness. I put a towel over the front fender and rest it there. It's not too difficult or unusual considering some of the parts that have to come off to work on other stuff.

Bite the bullet, do it right... then ride to your local watering hole to show it off and have a cold one!

Ride Safely!
John.

If you think this discussion is bad, wait until you try to install a Harley Visor or French trim ring.

Go get this

One word of caution, put something over that front fender before you start and get a nice ding in it by dropping something on it.

There's truth there. Wife had a Chrysler 300 for a while. I had to remove the passenger front wheel and the fender liner to change the battery...

Guy at auto shop said front wheel needs to be removed to replace battery in new-style Ford Escapes. Luckily, not the case for my 2009.

Long, thin Philips screwdriver. I just did mine last week and had it off in 3 minutes. No need to loosen or remove any other parts.

Op has been quiet lately. Maybe he went to Home Depot and got day labor help to get the screw out.

I heard about a guy that was a big NASCAR fan and was a gynecologist. He loved race cars so much that He gave up His degrees and went to trade schools to learn about building race engines. In one of His final exams He had to dissemble an engine, correctly identify each part, then reassemble the engine and crank it up. His instructor gave Him a very good grade and complimented Him with "You did good, but I swear I have never seen anyone else do it all thru the tail pipe before".
OP, let us know when you get that head light, you might have to sneak up on it from the other end!
