Excellent Jack.
I got both accessories.
I use a paper plate to deflect the initial rush of oil when the drain plug comes out.
If you keep it lifted for more than a day, rest it on the locking bars and open the valve on the bottle jack.
Reduces stress on the jack and ensures that an unexpected leak won't have you finding your bike on the garage floor in the morning.

I love mine. I don't do oil or trans on the back, but I use it for all kinds of other things.

If it’s raised for more than a moment just to do one quick thing it should be sat down on the locking bars. No hydraulic jack should be used for holding a vehicle up. They are for raising and lowering. Jack stands, or in this case, the locking bars are for holding the weight.

Generally, for discounts, I look online then sometimes call to order and ask "Are there any discounts available?".
Many times they come thru. May not always work, but in some circumstances it will.
For example, I recently wanted to order a new kydex gun holster. No discounts online. I called in the order and asked, and they gave me a "President's Day" discount that was still a week early, and had not been posted yet. Plus free shipping!

I love my J&S jack. I used it for many years, and then bought a lift table..... I still have the J&S and still use it for some things... it's not going anywhere

PS- I got the T-handle and I'm glad I did.

Have had my J&S Jack since 2008. No issues, period. I have the drain pan attachment but not the T-Handle (can't justify). Did buy a new bottle from them last month. Will install when I bring down bike from winter storage next month sometime. No it's not leaking, just would feel better with new one at this point.

This was covered years ago, but if you have a compressor you can easily convert the manual J&S jack to pneumatic for only about $85 with the Strongway 5-ton air/hydraulic bottle. I got mine from Northern Tool. If you drill a few holes and mount it the way I did, you can use air or manually pump it. It works like it was made for the J&S!

I did this to one jack a couple years ago and really like it. I went to shop for an air/hydraulic jack for my second J&S. Northern Tool has discontinued the 5 ton Strongway air/hydraulic jack. I went to my local Northern Tool and they still had a couple on the shelf so I bought one. If your thinking about doing this, check your local Northern Tool, so there won’t be anymore 5 ton jacks from Strongway.

This air/hydraulic bottle jack looks like it would be a suitable substitute for the Strongway. It's set up a bit different, but the price is reasonable - Redline #RE-5TAHJ, $79.50 w/free shipping. https://www.redlinestands.com/catalo...le-jack-p-2699

Looks good. If one of my Strongway’s give out, there’s a replacement.
