Default Personal Preference Opinions welcome.....SGS.....

I like the clean Badass look of my 2019 SGS, but debating whether gloss black Saddlebag Bars would save me IF I drop this bike and how much do they detract from the Badass look.

Yes, this is an opinion and the only one that matters is mine....but I'll bet some on here have had the same debate, made a decision and have some insight as to how they feel about that decision now. I'd like to hear that.

Also, for those who installed the bars themselves, how difficult is it to do?

Yes absolutely they will help. Black will hide well.
Just yesterday I was backing out of my garage and hit a wet spot in the drive. The previous owners painted the driveway, ugh.
Slippery as hell I lost my footing and gently laid it over. No harm at all. And luckily no one saw either..
And install is very simple to do also.

I actually think some gloss black rear bars would look more badass. IMO. Easy install too. BTW, great looking bike.

I actually like the look. I think with your black it would disappear even more than mine

If you have a dark paint the black will blend in easier to the bike. Installed the chrome bars on my Big Blue Pearl 2013 Road Glide Ultra, took my time did some deep cleaning on the frame while I was installing, easy peasy.

Forgot tp mention, bike went over while in traffic in Gettysburg and the safety bars did save the paint on the bags.

For sure I put them on mine, went with the gloss black to match my front bar, I would also go with OEM and not some cheap knock off, been there done that, in case of a drop will also give you something to grab hold of to get back up.
