My 11 would do that when I need to adjust the clutch.

Clutch adjustment has nothing to do with it. The switch is at the hand grip...which is not affected by clutch adjustment. And oh yeah...the hydraulic clutches aren’t adjustable.

Common side effect of that switch going out is idle can get erratic and can stall at take off, how I discovered mine was bad.

"Seems really early for the switch pack to go out"

I guess you're new to Harleys?

I understand it's a safety thing, but Harleys didn't have them for years. Then people what happened got stupid?
I someone doesn't know NOT to start the bike in gear without pulling in the clutch first maybe they shouldn't be riding.
I understand **** happens, but it's something you'll only do once.
Bypass the damn thing.
Just sayin'

I believe it's part of the Can Buss system so I don't know how you could bypass it. That's why the whole module needs to be replaced, you can't get the switch anymore.
I would think there is an active DTC so the Security light or check engine light might be on.

Well that happened at least 10 years ago as I have a clutch switch on a 2008 Sportster Custom.
