Default Lowering king tour pack

I have a 2008 flhtcu and as much as I like the space of the king I like the look of the chopped or razor style so my thought is lowering the king down closer to the fender I already plan to move it back 3" or so but was just wondering if anyone has lowered it down thanks

Consider the triangle in you mods. The triangle being the two axles and the riders head. Anything out side of the triangle will affect handling. The further out, the greater the impact. Moving the trunk back is moving it further out of the triangle.

Just be aware...

Moving it down may effect passenger comfort, placing the backrest too far down on their back.

When lowering it down check the clearance for saddlebags opening.

I purchased a quick release bracket on ebay that utilized the detachable sissy bar posts. That bracket brought the pack down a couple of inches and moved the pack back a couple of inches as well. My major issue was the leverage caused the tour back to move more than I liked. There was a lack of support when the pack was installed. it looked good, but it was an accident waiting to happen. Unless you can find a way to rigid mount or find a better mounting bracket, you may be displeased. Hope you find a solution. I attached a link that shows a similar mount to what I used just FYI.
