My pv mount broke right after a year. Luckily I didn't lose the tuner. Since then I never even remember I have the damn thing. I didn't like having it on all the time anyway. I never moved or messed with the mount to aid in its breaking, I guess the plastic being clamped down for a while caused some stress.

I purchased a handlebar cable clamp and created my own mount. Nice and solid, quickly removes and located the PV right where I wanted it.
$10.00 bucks and an hour of my time. Need to buy a chrome hex drive finish bolt to replace the standard bolt currently shown. Still on the swivel ball so it can be easily adjusted.
