Took me a long time to get accustomed to the Throttle By Wire system on my 14 as opposed to the push-pull cables on the '99.
Now that I've had the 14 a while I prefer the throttle by wire. At least until it fails ...
That being said; coming from the '99 FLHRCI to the '14 FLHP there was a world of difference.
The newer frame, 103 (even choked down with emissions), cruise control, etc.

The 07 and 08 were somewhat bastard years. Try finding cruise control parts for the 07. It's difficult at best. The gear ratio for the 6 speed in the 07's was way to tall for the anemic 96 to pull. All that was fixed with the 09. The only real issue they had was the straight cut 5th that would wine and bother some people.
Bang on for the cruise control parts though. Only available used for the 07.
