Default Rinehart Classic Duals Issue

Trying to install the Classic Duals on my 11 RGU. With the front head pipe on just finger tight and the P-clamp just over the stud, I have to really press the muffler up and in to meet the mount for the muffler. This then causes the head pipe to press up against the cam cover. I've totally removed the head pipe, made sure the gasket was seated correctly, and tried to reinstall, same issue.

Of course Rinehart and Fuel Moto (ordered exhaust from them) customer service is Monday - Friday only. Anyone have any experience with this?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is a picture from an 06 so it’s a Rinehart true dual system, not a Rinehart classic dual system. It’s the same thing, the true duals fit years 95-08 and the classic duals fit 09-16. You can see in the picture I had to use two thick washers and a nut to space the P-clap down from the mounting bracket to achieve the proper clearances. It’s worked great for two years now without a problem.

You cant put the header clamp on the studs until you have the muffler close to where it's gotta be. I usually use a piece of mechanics wire from the rear hanger to catch the muffler while I then put the clamp on the exhaust studs. To Get the front started youll need to hold the muffler out from the bike at about a 45 degree angle then rotate it into position, then hang the muffler from the bracket with wire then get the nuts started on the exhaust clamp. Hope that helps. I have the same system and have put it on off about 3 times now

I think my head pipe might be out of spec. If I don’t use the p clamp I can get it to line up but if I snug the exhaust port nuts it pulls it down again hitting the cam cover.

Rinehart Racing has a lot of internal issues going on. From quality control and design flaws, to customer service. I don’t think they’re even trying anymore.

The CEO seems to have made his money in the industry and has since focused his efforts in the direction of world travel and parties - not performance or design improvements. (Just look him up on social media and see for yourself.)

It’s time for people to do their homework on these companies that are being bought-out by non-caring individuals who use the title of “owner” as a status symbol and conversation piece...No true passion or ownership in a quality name. What does he care - It’s not his family name on the pipe. Garbage company.
