Probably depends on what your state inspection requirements are. Here in PA it calls for 1 rear red reflector. Guess Harley puts on the yellow reflectors to comply with all the different state requirements.

As for reflectors, all that is required in Texas is one rear red reflector.

Speaking of reflectors, this was an awful idea. Must be a law somewhere requiring it.

I guess it depends. If I happen to end up having an accident, I'm now a bit smarter and more educated and would absolutely make sure the law enforcement officer documents all important facts in the accident report, which would include the absence of the proper reflectors or lighting on said vehicle. I've also passed on this same advice to all my friends and family. And if possible, the vehicles and the surrounding accident scene will be documented via video.

Yep, if you're involved in an accident, get right out there and start telling the investigating officer(s) what they must do,, uh huh,, oh yea,, let us know how that works for you OK son ?

I'm not seeing the issue. I'd request he would document what I believe is an issue. I'd also make sure that I have witnesses that also are aware of the issues I bring up and that they witness (and hear) me making my "request" to the officer.

You wouldn't say that if you were at a peeler bar and the lady on stage was down to 1 reflector.
