Oem fairing fitment question
You have probably noticed I asked a decent amount of questions but I’m just trying to learn. I had a sporty a while back and ended up on a Ducati. I sold that for the street glide and I don’t regret it one bit! I’m just totally new to the touring scene hence the questions. Tried googling pics but eh not the best.
SoooooI have ‘13 Sg and I noticed that underneath the headlight where the fairing meets the triple tree cover (sorry I don’t know the name please fill me in lol) there is a short piece of rubber. I believe this is causing the fairing to not seat properly as there is a good gap as in the fairing is not sealed. It’s about 1/4-1/2”. All of the screws are in place and snug. You wouldn’t notice it unless kneeling down however I was concerned about rain coming up from the road etc. is this normal? Thanks for any and all help!

Every time I go to put my faring back on that rubber piece doubles back onto itself and causes me trouble getting the lower bolts started, I have often thought of just cutting the ends back so the rubber piece is no longer that the inside lenght of the lower bolts. I doubt removing it would cause any problems with rain coming up.
I would check and make sure your rubber piece is not folded over on itself .
