Magnum Shielding Brake/Clutch Line Install
Guys,
So I finished installing my Clutch and Brake line braided install today. I bled the system and prior to changing all these lines I pulled the 50 amp fuse as told per a friend and HD tech to not activate the pump. My ABS light is blinking an I heard this is normal as I have not ridden the bike. What I was wondering is::: Do you think my system is fine or without a doubt, I should have the system hooked up to the Digital Tech. I am wondering even if I ride down the rode and ABS light goes out is this still a necessary step. Just wondering what the Guru's on the board think? Bleeding the system is quite easy and like any other brake line, I am confident no bubbles. The levers are firm. I am just a newbie and don't wanna spend extra money for stuff not necessary and learning!
Thanks
Christopher

I did my bar swap about a month or so ago and did extensive research on this myself. I watched countless videos on youtube and talked with Hill Country Custom Cycles (who has an awesome video on this)
I ended up following the advice and procedure from HCCC and pushed the fluid up through the caliper just like in the video and it worked perfect! No ABS light and have tested the ABS several times while riding and its working just fine.

So I just rode up and down my street with my top speed being 40. I slammed on my brakes using only the front brakes and than did the same thing using just the back brake. The ABS light did not come on. I than rode and slammed on the brakes with back and front simultaneously. Still NO ABS light . If you start bike and ride up to about 8 or 10 miles and hour flashing ABS light goes out. I have repeated this process 3 times each! I would say I am good to go! Both levers feel good and respond well. Any thoughts or ideas? Anything I am missing?
I appreciate all all the advice and hope this helps anyone like me.

You should feel the ABS pulsating when the break (front, rear or both) is applied
