My father had a hypercharger on his Dyna, it never worked. I have the heavy breather on my FLHTK and it hits my knee, considering swapping it out. There are a lot better options out there, mine just came with the heavy breather when I bought the bike.

I had a Hypercharger, No issues, not restrictive. It's open on the bottom.
I removed it for a Heavy Breather style cone type AC. Now that was restrictive,
I could see the filter suck in on exceleration plus it pushed out my knee.
I upgraded to a Stage 1 open filter with a rain sock.

So if it's open on the bottom, what's the point of the Rube Goldberg flapping mechanism?

Hypercharger is junk. I had one on a Fatboy. Never functioned properly and had too many moving parts. The moving butterflies are a joke.

It's a gimmick, supposed to be like the air cleaners on dragsters and muscle cars.

Besides the baffle mechanism and butterfly what else on yours moved? They can be locked open.
