Default LePera Villain Solo - First Impressions / Pics

I have been looking for a custom solo saddle for my Street Glide. Three main factors influencing my decision: 1. Looks, comfort and retention of the stock mounting type. I looked at a whole bunch of seat manufacturers, read as much as I could about their offerings and decided to go with LePera.

I worked with them via email and telephone re: options (design, materials, thread choices, design, etc.). They were great throughout the process and I am very happy with the seat.

Seat is very heavy - easily 2x~3x the weight of the stock seat. Pane is steel, coated and carpeted underneath. Seat cover is riveted to the pan.The main seat surface and inlay are leathers, the side panels are vinyl.

I used two different threads and asked for the black-out logo tag. I also went with their "biker gel" seat option. It's very firm but feels good (so far). Admittedly, this is not a touring seat, but I am interested to see whether or not it provides better / longer comfort that the stock seat.

Overall very pleased. Their build quality and attention to detail is fantastic.

Stock retainer nuts are bulky and too high. Right side shows a replacement screw retainer / washer in place off the large stock white retainer on the left.

I have one of them LePera seats on one of my bikes, 99 RK with a tour pack forward so its a back rest for me. The seat matches the padding on the tour pack, Looks cool. There seats are top quality BUT its like seating on a rock. I don't care because don't use that bike very much and when I do only about 100 to 200 miles at a time.

Wow very nice! How much was that, if you don't mind me asking?

The base seat is $279.00... Biker gel, leather seating surface, exotic leather inlay and custom design elements brought it close to $800.00 shipped.
