The audio section is the place to be. Sometimes you have to do your own research to find your simple answer.. Aquatic

I have an 04 EGC. I replaced the stock unit with a Biketronix set up. (amp, speakers and head unit) All plug and play, handle bar controls still work like normal also.
I only use 2 speakers from the fairing. Love the sound and volume. Passenger can clearly hear the tunes even at highway speeds.

I would highly recommend Biketronix

Maybe you should work on your reading comprehension.

Hey Cozz, you don't mention what is wrong with your unit but have read many times that Iron Cross does great work.

Plug 'n play doesn't really limit your options. One option is to dig around on eBay and get a good used like model, another is the repair option but that will leave you with the hole during turnaround. Open your options and you can do a new plug 'n play aftermarket upgrade or get a plug 'n play kit and install and use just about any automotive stereo but older units are less likely to interface into the hand controls or Bluetooth. I have an old 2000-ish Alpine head that I was able to install and interface into the controls and add Bluetooth without doing any wire modifications or changes, plug and play. It was easy to install and worked and sounded great. I only took it out because the hinged face would not close.
