Currently have a Mustang Vintage Wide two-up seat on my 2017 FLHR. Mustang has always been my go-to. It does a fine job, wide enough for Mrs on the back, and good-enough for me.

What I'm wanting is separate rider and pillion seats in about the same geometry. I'd like to take off the windshield, TourPak (yes, on my Road King), pillion seat and zip around solo sometimes. Problem is, the Mustang site comes up empty for 2-piece Two-Up seats. Seems HD used to make the Sundowner as separates back in the day, not so much anymore.

Looking for suggestions.

Need to have a wide, comfy pillion for Mrs.

Thoughts?

My son bought a 2017 Road King that had the LePera Monterey Solo with Backrest http://www.lepera.com/v4_Touring_Mod....php?SEATID=45 on it. He wanted a regular two up so he put the stock seat back on. He doesn't have the pillion that goes with the LaPera, they are sold separately. He's talking about selling the LaPera so I could ask him what he wants for it if you are interested. PM me.

 

Not sure if I'm misunderstanding your question , but Mustang shows plenty of solo seats that you can add a passenger pillion for , backrests for both are optional . Have another look see . I apologize if I'm wrong .

You're not wrong. They have 2 rider solos and a couple passenger seats. I have a 17 front and a 13.5 pillion on the bike now and a 15 rider and an 11.5 rear that I am selling sitting in tha garage right now. Both seats come with a small bib to help hid the studs when just running the solo.

Call mustang and tell them what you are looking for.

They will fix you up when you call. They will make sure that the front matches the rear. What you are looking for is a solo seat with a passenger pillion. They don't list them by the description that you are searching for. I thin'k you would be happy with the 17" front and the 13.5 that I am running now. It is real similar to what you have now only 2pc.

 

My dad just bought one of these in Laconia last week. But the full two piece version. He loves it so far. They had a 14 day return policy, and shipped his seat back to his house. That way he was able to get a good feel for the 500 mile ride home. So far, he's really happy. I don't think he'll be returning it.
