Hey everyone, I have noticed a lot of the people on this forum took the ugly reflectors off of their saddlebag guards. What is the best way to do this and not damage the chrome? I haven't attempted yet, and wanted to get some advice first.

all i did was pull them off, then heat up the old glue that was still left on with a heat gun and use some WD-40 to whipe it all off.
It is a little easer if you let the WD-40 sit on there for a couple of minutes befor you wipe it off.

 

Heat it real good with a hair dryer, Pull it off and thenuse liquid wax, GOO GONE or WD 40 to clean the excess sticky stuff offof the bar.

mine are left on. it is a little bit of security to be seen at night. mine fell off on the right side and i went right to the dealer to have them put back on. they scratched their heads on why do i want them, so i told them i want to be seen

 

Pull them off and then you can use goo-b-gone or some accetone (finger nail polish remover) to get the stick stuff off.

 

Another vote for Goo Gone. It also works great for taking that stupid warning sticker off the air cleaner.

Check you states vehicle code first. I took mine off and it failed inspection because of it. I even had to put them on my old shovelhead to get through this year.

 

Pull them off on a HOT day or Hair Dryer\Heat Gun and use Goo Be Gone - Cleans em' right up!
