I'm planning on going next year and have a similar distance. Doing it in two days is some hard riding. :D I'm planning on 500 miles a day for 4 days.

I made the trip from Norfolk, VAlast year and can't wait to do it again, one day. Sturgis exceeded every expectation.

As far as taking your time, if you are going east to west, our country's breadbasket is a tad flat and boring. 600 - 700 mile days are pretty easy when you can go 70-75 all day long.

On the way home, I came down through Nebraska on Highway 2 to Grand Island. With the exception of the road and the RR tracks, the countryside probably hasn't changed since the pioneer days.

Good on you guys that made the trip. I know it was a trip of a lifetime for me last year.

BTW - If you don't want to do 600 miles/day for 8 straight days..... just add more days. It's the ride to and from that counts.

I had a similiar post a few weeks back trying to drum up some company for a ride to Sturgis next year from Southern NJ. Let me know if you plan on doing it again and if you don't mind an additional person.
