Torres cycles conversion for O7's

I ordered what I thought was the correct set-up for my bike. This is the reply I got from Torres Cycle:

"Mr Larson, The kit you ordered will not work on your bike. The kit you need is the RK1-OS. I sent an emaill with part# and price to your HD Forum. The price for the kit is normally $320 and includes S/Hbut for you guys we will do all the kits for $280 and that includes S/H. If you pass this along to your forum we will appreciate it."

You can see their duals conversion athttp://www.tccbiker.com/I am hoping that they make the changes to their web site to stop this from happening in the future. They don't show the correct kit for bikes with O2 sensors.

Their pipes are chromed and include the correct heat shields.

I thought I'd post this for anyone who is interested.

Steve

BTW, I know that I can but a true duals set-up for not too much more money. This is the option I chose.

Let us know how this set up works for you. Especially with the PCIII map.

I sure will. Hopefully I'll have the pipes and muffles soon.

I suspect that I should be able to use a map for any of the true duals set-ups. There can't be too much difference if any between this and the Vance and Hines pipes as far as the maps go.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Good morning, I installed a set on my 07' ultra. real pleased with fit, look, and sound. I'm using V&H ovals. and a sert. pretty straight forward install.

any power loss?

any power loss?
That is impossible to tell with a dyno test. The bike has more than enough power for me. I am told that there will be a small loss in torque which is low end power. As far as overall HP, I am guessing that the stage 1 upgrade has given me more HP.

I am not that concerned about power. I am more concerned about engine heat and lean running condition. I can tell you that both are gone. No more hot thighs! The throttle response in also sharper which is probably due to the air cleaner and pipes. Also, the sound is much more "Harley" like.

Keep in mind that the Torres kit is just part of the Stage 1 upgrade. It all works together to solve the heat and lean issues. Does that make sense? Had to do the same thing with my XL. I call it the "Harley Tax."

yeah, I've got stage I w/ stock headers. I was told true duals cause loss of power(tq). I'll prob. try these, very good deal. I plan on going stage II 103" and i'll toss these into the mix.

I've read that and I've also seen the various dyno sheets from people who have gone with true duals. It all has to do with back pressure and cyl. scavenging.
