Dealerships here in Jacksonville don't like Bruce. They claim he sends people out to buy up all the SEs form other dealers then marks em up. He get the markup because they are in fact "rare" around here anywhere else other than his dealerships. Go there and you'll see many used zero mileage bikes. This is why.
Dealership. Adamec owns all of 'em. I've known Mark since the early 80's & like him well enough as a person, but their business model is one of the worst I've ever seen. I only bought parts from them when I couldn't get 'em elsewhere in a timely manner. Even then his employees are rude, stupid, & would rather lie to a customer than make a sale. I truely can't understand how they've stayed in business. I tried to buy my first Harley from Mark, but soon learned that a dealership that would spew the crap I was hearing couldn't be trusted to service a lawnmower, let alone a motorcycle.
If Rossmeyer is kickin' Adamec's butt it's because he's a better business man.
He is sucessful and I respect that. I just wish he wouldn't plaster his picture all over the place!! Maybe he hasn't looked in the mirror lately. It's sorta funny....though!!
Damn near qualifies as Enviromental Polution............

From the neck up he looks like one of the seven dwarves. From the neck down he looks like all seven dwarves.
I have bought two harleys from Hollingsworth up in St. Augustine. Always a fair price and the servive departmrnt was always great I say was because they just sold it. Rossmeyers is a great place to go on the first Saturday each month for bike night but I wouldn't buy from him or get my service done there.

Did you know Limey? Great old guy & a real character! Mrs. Hollingsworth was a little more business strict but still a good person. It'll be interestin' to see how the new owners work out.
There are plenty of other dealers in the area. I've heard good about Seminole HD, Ocala HD, and Leesburg HD. I deal with Orlando HD and have been very happy.
Regarding Orlando, me too - got a "good" (for what I was after anyway) deal on my '07 there at the "Old Factory" store. I also like Palm Bay and/or their old Pineda store for parts or just a "soda" stop since I get a modest break there. Overall, the staff attitude at both O-HD and PB/P HD is goodtoo.
I stop in at one of the Rossmeyer places when I tool up to Daytona but I don't care much for them so I don't buy much from them either - just a rest stop type deal and some parking-lot chatter.
I just wanted everyone to know that his dealerships add up to $5000 on top of MSRP for the Screaming Eagle models. They give you alot of bull about how rare they are. I can not and will not buy from any dealer that does not sell at MSRP or below. Why shouls I give my hard earned money to a millionaire many times over.
It is a business. Supply and demand. Obviously people pay his higher prices, so he gets away with what he charges. If you don't like it, go somewhere else.
My dealer started out as MSRP + premium. I told him MSRP only - he gave, I bought the bike. Otherwise, I would have gone elsewhere.
I don't fault the owner for what he can get for his SE.Most of us modify our rides over time anyway. If he can con someone to pay those prices, he is a great saleman! I once wanted a Corvette model in 1996 so badly because of the special engine/trans setup that I paid the premium to buy it. Each to their own choices, but I personally would not pay the $5K markup on a over priced bike already!
