Second year with this bike, 2009 ultra classic. Clutch cable is a 2 piece, stainless steel on top and black on the bottom. In the middle there is a sleeve where the 2 cables meet. It’s round and smooth, with no grooves for a wrench. Can not figure out how to adjust the cable. Looked everywhere for an adjuster nut. Not enough room under the sleeve for a nut. I’ve had vise grips on it and can’t turn it. I asked the original owner, he said he had it installed and never touched it. Any help would be appreciated

 

Disconnect it at the lever and see if the braided portion spins ?

Check down by where the cable goes into the transmission clutch cover, there should be adjustments there.

 

Disconnecting at the lever doesn’t work. The only nut down by the clutch cover is the nut to tighten to 3ft pounds for the cable
