I guess some people think this guy just won the lottery and got all this money.
He did certain things in his life to get where he is.
You did certain things in your life to be where you are. As did I.
There is a reason he is where he is at. And a reason you and I are where we are at.
We make decisions.

I still think they are playing on an image of ideology, and laughing all the way to the bank.
I suppose I am just as stupid, because I pay the stealer prices when I know they are peeling my face back. Damn!!
How certain are ya'll about the $100.00 elbow grease discount on the IDS installation. I would love to see something in writing that I could take to my stealership to prove that Harley is paying....Bldr

I wasn't questioning that Jeff Bleustein made $47M in 2005. I was questioning the idea of blaming a guy that retired in 2005 for the 2007 problems. In retrospect if the current CEO "only" made $4+M in 2006, he must be underpaid.Harley enjoyed 12 record years under Bleustein's rein and I salute him for his success. The current CEO is going to have a much more difficult tenure. If managed properly Harley will remain a healthy company but most likely will not enjoy the magnitude of success Bleustein enjoyed.
Some would suggest Harley's success is more culture based than product based. Who's fault is that? Who's the customer and who's the manufacturer. Hello!!!. Harley will only remain successful as long as we support their products. I've ridden for 38 years and enjoy the experience every bit as much today if not morethan I did when I started. I don't/won't begrudge H-D or their dealers a dime until I find a viable replacement. And it's my responsibility to find that viable replacement and/or enjoy motorcycling as I know it today.Just my .06
The IDS wasn't recalled cause it wasn't a real problem. So there is vibration, big deal. It may be annoying to some, but that doesn't make it worth a recall. Recalls are for dangerous situations and a product not performing as advertised. If there was a sticker on the bike that said, now with no vibration, there would have been an IDS recall.
