Default Another shredded belt

I have an 07 Road King and this is the third belt I've gone through in as many years and I don't ride that much I live in Iowa. Anyway, any solutions or ideas. I have a 30 tooth sprocket with falcon belt. I did hear some chirping the other night but I'm not qualified even know what the hell that meant until I read about it. Funny thing was I wasn't even under power when it went down. Anything would help fellas thanks

I would carefully inspect the pullies for any sharp edges and if I had the $$ would replace them.

Belt choice ?? I do not know but if the time comes I see no reason to deviate from what came on the bike.

Check alignment very carefully of the drivetrain.

Make certain you have adjustment correct.

Had 07 SG it had a chirping. It was coming from the throtle body but i think normal. I wont run anything but HD belt. Friend had a after market belt just come apart. Huge trouble that trip. He had a 30 tooth sproket. We had to buy 31 tooth to get a belt to work.

Forgive me if I'm wrong here but if I recall the stock sprocket teeth was 32 and I went to a 30 and a Harley-Davidson belt would not fit on that sprocket so I had to buy an aftermarket one. I don't have any idea what kind of sprocket to put on there but maybe I got a sub par sprocket or warn out because I am kind of hard on things

Do you suppose that there's too much power to keep the belt on it ...I put 103 ACR heads pop up pistons w a 259e cam. I still don't understand why they had six gear on it because it was so weak so I thought it needed

Your right hand has a lot to do with belt life as well.

Hahaha Now that is humor. I suppose you could be onto something there.

This is the very reason I run the stock belt with my 30T sprocket. Modified the swingarm to be able to take up the extra slack in the belt and all is good.

OP I think the combination of your right hand along with the Falcon belt is the problem. The Falcon belts just don't hold up. I'd suggest modifying the swingarm and running the stock belt or find a better brand than the Falcon your using.

Would also suggest that you change to a 68T on the rear.

What would you recommend besides the falcon. N how do I modify the swing arm or what did you do if you don't mind
