Has anyone seen this color yet?
I just went to the local shop to put a deposit on it but I am concerned how it will look in person.

Also, I was only able to get them to drop the set-up fee ($600).
With it being winter do you think I should have gotten more?

I'll be getting the same color Ultra in early Feb. The color is considered "custom" and is only being shot in Jan, Feb, and Mar. I didn't have to order mine, but found that it was part of an order my local dealer had coming in during that time. Should look great and it's probable that there won't be many in that color around your town!

 

I haven't seen it in person, but I would love to have that color. I think, if anything, it sounds like your second guessing your color choice and probably because it's not a traditional "Harley" color. But you obviously want to be slightly different and stand out against a sea of black, maroon or blue bikes and I think once you get it, you'll love it. It looks good and HD obviously agrees since they put it on their bike. Take lots of pics when you get it.

As far as the price goes, its what feels good to you. The HD dealerships down here rape and I have a good friend that works there and I know they gave me a better than average price, but I still paid over MSRP on my Street Glide. It is what it is and I love my bike and I don't regret my purchase at all.

Sounds like a limited color. Maybe that's why they didn't come down anymore then the -$600. Believe me, if you got anywhere close to MSRP + the $600 waived, you got a lot better deal than a lot of folks on this site and elsewhere. Don't sweat the deal. Now your problem will be sleeping and counting the days until the dealer says to come down and pick her up. Congrats.

 

I had a 97 Electra Glide Classic in "Mystique Green & Black", and thought it was the prettiest bike I've ever had. I think that they only did the color for a year or two, but your green looks about the same, maybe a little bit lighter.

You'll love it because it's not a "run of the mill" color.

I just wish I knew when it was going to be delivered!!!

Dealer will know delivery date in the begining of January.

 

I saw the color this year at the Sturgis Rally. Harley had a bike in the Dragonfly/Vivid Black at there display in the arena in Rapid city. I think the bike they had in that color was a Softtail. I thought it looked great. It's kind of a pearlesense color and changes in the light. I really liked it on the Softtail but did have some reservation about how that much green would look on an Ultra. Hope it works out for you. If nothing else, you will have a bike that is not the normal run of the mill color. And that's worth something.

 

Good friend of mine just put his Road King and his Hyabusa up for sale for that same bike. 2006 Ultra Classic in Dargonfly green and vivid black. If he gets his first Ill let ya know.
