Default New Bike

I closed the deal today and will go back Monday, weather permitting to pick up my 08 Denim Pewter Street Glilde. I had to add some last minute touches. I ended up just picking grips, some bolt toppers (versus chrome plated or stainless steel bolts) cause I think they actually look better and don't rust like the chrome plated bolts and aset of gloss black brake and clutch levers. That was added to the glossy black front end, chrome passing lamps, stealth luggage rack, cruise controland 103 upgrade on the order. One dissapointment was to find out that none of my 06 seats will fit on the 08. I have three pretty cool seats; one Drag Specialities touring seat by Danny Gray, a low profile HD leather flamed seat, and a Mustang Daytripper, plus the original SG seat that BadX had done for me. So now, it's back to one stock seat and shopping for at least one new cool low profile seat, or a solo. I wasn't counting on the seat thing though I do have a garage full of different size and shaped windshields that should work

It's weird when you go over to close and deal and have your bike that you've invested quite a bit of time and money in to look the way you want and see your "new" bike sitting there in it's stock form. I know it will look cool but it's nerve wracking since all I have in my head is that pewter bike with ugly stock rotors, aluminum lowers, stock grips etc etc. By bike looked very good when I was pulling out...but I'm still pumped. I just want to get it after it's been done up. Picking the stuff out for the bike and deciding was harder than I remember cause I've always done chrome and new where I was going. I was even second guessing the chrome passing lamps and trim rings with the black front end and lowers having not seen that setup, but gotta believe it will be a nice mix. I don't want to black out everything.

A couple of questions again if you will-

Anyone gone ahead and done the chrome cover kit on the right side, or just leave it matte black? I had it pretty chromed on the black bike.
Any suggestions on a cool low profile seat for the new ride?
As always pics are welcome!

Nice! Enjoy. My husband has an 07 SG, pewter denim. He loves it. He's not a polisher!
