I have the same problems on both my bikes, a 2003 Ultra and a 2002 RK. Very slight seeping in that same area. So that is "normal"???
This subject came up last week as my favorite tech had a bike on his lift with about 13K with a complete motor tear down due to that very leak. He says the MoCo refers to this as "fretting". The leak is out of the motor. I believe my '05exhibits some of this but has never dripped on the floor as this bike was doing. Obviously the repair is big bucks as the motor must be pulled and the cases split.

IMHOI wouldn't worry about it if the bike is not under warranty and the leak is not bad. Otherwise I wouldmake them fix it if it was under warranty. The bike I saw was under extended warranty. This may be a good selling point for the EW the next time you buy a new bike.

Took my 08SG in for the 1000 mile service and was told it was "wet sumping". They realigned the oil pump. Haven't pick it up yet as I'm contemplating the BB or cams. I guess I'll call them right now to talk more about that.

Has anyone expierianced any problems with Harleys Twin Cam 96?
Any problems are probably "self-induced" by doing mods (including exhaust and air cleaners which mandate EFI mods).
