Default Help with Price of King tour pack??

OK so I am trying to get an overall price of the accessories that I want to get but am having a hard time finding everything for the king tour pack on the website. I will be mounting on a 08 FLXH, which I dont have yet[sm=smiley19.gif] but I may be striking a deal tomorrow. Basically I am wanting to know the overal price I am looking at for the bike and the king tour pack.

I see that the Tour pack is $675 but am unable to fine all of the hardware that it needs to mount to the bike and lock, I think I will go with the detachable mount?

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you buying the bike from a dealer?Wont they give the info and a discount?Go to Zanotti motors or Chicago HD for lower prices. You can E-mail them for the the parts info you need.

I may buy from Thunder Mountain HD here in CO, they have $750 off the bike and 20% off accessories, I was trying to get my ducks in a row with a dollar figure before I go into the dealer. I am of course going to try to get them to give me a better deal on the bike. My mother is also headed into the same store to purchase a electra glide standard or classic. I always find it to be an advantage to know everything and not have to ask for #'s when striking a deal.

Duke: Just go to the HD website; click on the appropriate prompts to get to Touring accessories and you will easily find the mounting hardware that attaches to the bike and the detachable rack that the Tour Pak mounts to. IIRC, the hardware is ~55 bucks and the rack ~175.

I'd also suggest you get the HD cruise control for the bike--it's a terrific accessory; perhaps HD's best.

From the '08 Catalog touring section:

KING TOUR-PAK '06- LATER FLHX -VIVID BLACK #53270-06DH $675.00
TWO-UP TOUR PAK RACK DETACH DOCKING HDWR #53804-06 $54.95
DETACHABLE TWO UP TOUR-PAK RACK #53276-04 $179.95
KING TOUR-PAK BACKREST PAD - SMOOTH #52892-98A $199.95
KING TOUR-PAK BRAKE/TAIL LIGHT KIT#68172-06 $213.95

The above does not include the locking hardware kit. I'm not sure if the King TP comes with that or not. Other then that, this will be enough to get you started. You will have to mount your existing antena on it, decide if you want to add speaker pods/speakers, or luggage rack on top. I used the number for Vivid Blk because I did not know your color. Grab a new catalog at the dealer when you get your bike.

Take the above part numbers and plug them into the Zanotti's, surdyke, or cycle-parts.com websites to see the discounts compared to the above book prices.

G'luck and hope you come home with a new ride tomorrow!

Does someone have a good web address for chicagohd? Everytime I go to chicagohd.com I get an HD post production company.

Thanks,
George.

Thanks, mvinc01. Feel like an idiot never once thought to type chicagoharley instead of chicagohd. Must be old timers.

George.
