Green is /was the least noticeable colour on the road. 20 years ago there was an article in a Car and Drive magazine , about speeding ,and it said that Red colour cars [gets more speeding tickets] was the most noticeable colour and the least noticeable car was a green 4 door Chevy. My 05 Electra glide classic is fire fighter red and my 06 road king is painted a skeins colour-map green. I like green, it used to be the cheapest colour on the lot ,next to brown.

Dont ever buy a green harley. In 1977 Sun harley davidson got 4 green ones (fxe)4 brown ones.I had to have one of the green ones.I was living with a stripper at that time and she thought she was pregnant ,when we went to the Dr he discovered she had crabs.I got checked and sure as $hit so did I.Had to be the green fxe.She wasnt pregnant after all and left me for a 5 ft tall woman from new york .I rode with a club back then and they kind of gave me a lot of room due to the green fxe creeped them out.I picked up a stripper one night at the Busstop topless bar in Boulder that stole everything that wasnt tied down in my house when I left for work-------she wanted a ride on the green harley and wouldn't eat anything but green m@ms.I caught something from her to but it wasnt bugs it wasnt gram positive but I dripped for a week even with iv antibiotics.

So all in all it wasnt bad and I actually met my current wife on it only I had to go thru several other wives before I got there.Out of the green ones that Sun sold that year only 1 rider died(25%) he stopped to take a leak coming down out of the mountains and slipped over the edge and grabbed the bike as he went over the edge pulling it over on top of him and over the edge of the mountain(before they guardrailed everything up)He died and had no ID on him so it went to sun for a positive ID.Sun with the help of the shop foreman Steve Ruby built a show bike out of it that won a couple of big shows.I never knew what happend to it after that.I sold mine in 1984 to pay for some medical bills incurred by my oldest son.Last I knew it still resided with the kid who bought it and was still green.I put a fat bob tank on it and still have the stock tank and rear fender in a shed where I store my street glide along side a 55 ford pu I painted the same color as my 77 fxe.
