What's the difference....

In a Road King, Ultra Classic, Electric Glide, Road Glide...is it the farings, the weight, the setup...I have an 06 Softail Deluxe and looking to add to the collection...something more comfortable for the long haul.

thanks in advance.

Depends on what you are comparing, the standard, classic, and ultra are just diffrent models of electraglide w/diffrent options. The streetglide is similar but has diffrent suspension and trim. The roadglide has a diffrent faring some say rides better but I am a sceptic. The better bike for you depends on you and what you want out of a bike. There is much info on all of them on here good luck.

it's all in the fairing, road king no fairing, roadglide fixed fairing mounted to frame, ultra and glides batwing mounted to handle bars. take a ride on them all and decide for yourself what you like. i did not like the feel of the batwing. feels heavier and crosswinds and passing trucks are more noticeable with the batwing.

I'll agree with that. They do have a different feel, but all ride basically the same when it comes to comfort.

Jzabel... one big difference, in your Softail and the touring models, is you have the "B" motor. As you already know, the differences betweenthe touring bikes, is just the features... The weight "feel" will be more than the actual weight IMO. On the models with tour pacs, the feel of the weightwill seem to be more as the center of gravity is higher, but in reality the weights, as far as feel, are not much when riding all the non-tour pac models. On the Road Glide it will feel the most different as far handling, as when you turn the bike feels like it is going straight when you turn, as the fairing is fixed and does not turn with the handle bars... funny feeling the first time you ride... All great bikes...

Good Luck

Rent one of each style for a day. Then decide what you like the best. Each is a little different, all are comfortable rides.

Have fun deciding!
